+ guests artists
Creative collaboration between Ira Mogilevsky and Vlad Nedelin started in 1994. Since then they have participated together in different jazz bands and performed their own contemporary music as a duo and in cooperation with other musicians.
The debut of MogNed as an electro acoustic duo was held on the 8th of May 2005 at beautiful hall of Bååtska Palace in Stockholm, Sweden. The performance included a number of jazz standards in free “electronic” interpretation and 40 minutes composition “Smile” for piano, drumset, live electronics and sound track. The concert was recorded live by Jair Rohm Parker Wells.
Since then MogNed has been instantly continuing to explore the world of sounds. They performed in Sweden and Israel, invited guest musicians such as Jair Rohm Parker Wells and David Wilczewski and others. Since 2007 playing with Dvir Katz (flute) and Lars Göran Ulander (sax).
The music of MogNed has many dramaturgical qualities: it has development; sometimes tells a story; it is full of atmosphere, changing moods and textures from very minimalistic treatment of a single sound to energetic and colorful explosion.
Walking the edge between composed and improvised, abstract and melodic, lyrical and humoristic makes both listening and playing to an adventure.
